Pat Duggins Ford, died on August 1 resulting from lung cancer. He had spent the last two months in a hospital in St. Louis fighting the disease. Pat came to us from the Fleet Marine Force and NAPS as a Sergeant, and on graduation continued his Marine Corps service.

A military burial with honors was conducted on August 6 in Clinton, Illinois. A Memorial Service is planned for late September or early October in Kansas City; a later announcement will provide the specific date and location. Pat is survived by his wife, Dolores Ford of Shawnee, Kansas; a daughter, Kimberly Traphagan of Shawnee; two sons: Scott Ford of Morris, Kansas., and Curt Ford of Iola, Kansas; and seven grandchildren.
