Donald W. Johnston, (17), 84, of Scottsdale and Polson, MT passed away November 24, 2016. Don was a modest quiet spoken man - someone whom you could always depend on. Being from military family he attended many different schools until his four years at the U. S. Naval Academy graduating in 1956. He retired from military service as a Navy Captain in 1979, having served his country proudly - many years as a carrier pilot. After his Navy career he earned Master and Doctorate degrees in Business Administration, followed with government defense work. He continued his interest in flying making many friends at Carefree AZ and Polson MT airports He is survived by his wife Greta of Scottsdale and Polson and Robert of Wapello, Iowa. Services were private. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
