MAJ. ROBERT T. MOTHERWAY, USMC (RET.) (10) died at home on May 1st. He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (Smith) Motherway. Born in Warwick, April 26th 1933, the son of the late Josephine D. and Edward J. Maj. Motherway graduated from the US Naval Academy and took his commission into the Marine Corps where he served 27 years.The Major served ten years in the State Senate and ten years as an educator in North Kingstown. Major Motherway is also survived by 8 children and several grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 5th in St. Bernard Church, Wickford, followed by burial with military honors in Elm Grove Cemetery.
