Asher Seip, Jr. (15), 83, of Easton, PA, passed away Monday, December 5th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, PA. Asher was born in Mt. Pocono, PA on July 25, 1933, a son of the late Asher Seip, Sr. and Elizabeth Alexis (Coppinger) Seip. He was the husband of Helena (Hogan) Seip. They celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary this past October. Asher was a 1951 graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA and attended Lafayette College in Easton, PA. He then graduated from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD in 1956. After being designated a Naval Aviator, Asher was selected for the high performance aircraft program. Upon leaving the Navy in 1960, he and his brother founded the real estate company Seip Realty. Asher was a principal in Seip Realty, specializing in residential, commercial and management of income properties including apartment complexes and shopping centers. He was an avid skier, boater, mountain biker and a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of St. Rocco's Catholic Church in Martins Creek, PA. Asher was also a member of the Planning Commission in Forks Twp. for a number of years. In addition to his wife, Helena, Asher is survived by a daughter, Beth Seip Nuno, of Bethlehem, PA, and a brother, Jacob Seip, of Buck Hill Falls, PA. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 9th at St. Rocco's Catholic Church, 6658 School Street, Martins Creek, PA, with Msgr. James Reichert officiating. Friends are invited to call 9:30 - 10:30 AM on Friday, December 9th at James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, 6602 Alpha Ave., Martins Creek, PA. Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family at the US Naval Academy Cemetery and Columbarium in Annapolis, MD.
