William H. "Bill" Stewart, 81, of Tipp City, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at VA Hospice in Dayton. He was born May 19, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late William and Mary (Mullikin) Stewart. Bill was a 1951 graduate of Fairmont High School and a 1956 graduate of the US Naval Academy. He retired from the U S Air Force after 25 years of service. Bill was a member of American Legion Post #598 and VFW Post #9927 in Kettering. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Linda S. Stewart; children, William Stewart, Kevin (Julie) Stewart, Sean (Mary) Stewart; grandchildren Billy, Hannah, Sean Michael and Kevin James; sister, Maureen (Carl) Brooks; brother, Pat (Leslie) Stewart; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends. Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 1 PM Wednesday. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Hospice or VA Hospice, Dayton.
