passed away at noon Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Northwoods Village. He
was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Greensburg to Lee and Beulah (Cochran) Weisner.
Thomas married Joann (Raney) on June 3, 1956, and she survives. Thomas was a
graduate of Greensburg High School in 1951 and the U.S. Naval Academy at
Annapolis, Md., in 1956. He retired from Delco Electronics in 1995. Thomas was
a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Thomas is survived by his
wife, Joann Weisner; daughter, Paula Beeson; and two granddaughters, Rachel
(Beeson) Fritz and Jessica (Beeson) Tocco. He was preceded in death by his
parents; a brother, Richard Weisner; and a sister, Mary Sue Hughes. Funeral
services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel,
3400 S. Webster St., with Pastor Jerry VanAuken officiating. Friends may visit
with the family from 2 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the mortuary. Graveside
services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem. Memorial
contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, with envelopes
provided at the mortuary. Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel is assisting
the family with arrangements.
